Toward risk assessment and management of sustainable agriculture in the cool and cold regions
Welcome back to Sapporo!
On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to inform that PMAC (Plant and Microbe Adaptation to the Cold) 2012 will be held between June 24-28 , 2012 in Sapporo, Japan. The meeting started as the International Workshop on Plant-microbe Interactions at Low Temperature under Snow in 1997, in Sapporo followed by a series of subsequent meetings held around the world: we made the first lap in 12 years!
The scope of the conference will basically follow that of the previous one, PMAC 2009, in Aas, Norway. Our aim is to understand and exchange the up-to-date findings on the topics concerning overwintering problems of plants and agriculture. Topics include climate change, cold acclimation of plants and microbes, breeding for winter hardiness, and plant-microbe interactions in the cold.
We welcome your suggestions to improve the meeting and look forward to hearing from you. Mark your calendar between June 24-28 , 2012.
